Membership

Eligibility   

Any person, over the age of 18 years, during the time period that he or she lives within the geographical boundaries of the GCCP, is eligible for membership in the GCCP. 

The geographic area comprising the GCCP shall be the section of the City of Richmond bounded by (a) North Hamilton Street on the East, (b) Grove Avenue on the South, (c) Westmoreland Street on the West, and (d) Patterson Avenue on the North.

Membership Donations:

GCCP shall request from association members donations from time to time to pay for GCCP expenses or sponsored activities.

What does a Block Captain Do:

1. Engage with neighbors on their respective block and encourage them to register on the GCCPRVA website.

2. Collect and send emails on their respective block to disseminate civic association news and rally support in the event of specific community issues.

3. Attend or recruit a neighbor, on their respective block, to attend the first district city meetings or other city-wide meetings if feasible, as needed.

4. Share ideas or feedback from your block with the GCCPRVA board via email.

5. Participate in civic association social events whenever possible.
